Milky Mist has embraced the goodness of renewable energy and worked passionately towards reducing the carbon footprint. As an outcome of our renewable energy practices, 1,99,306 trees are saved every year, and emissions of about 4,340 tons of carbon dioxide are avoided annually.

Milky Mist has installed a state-of-the-art SPV power plant of 4.0 MW capacity in the nearby land. The plant is powered by 3 numbers of 1000 CP XT Utility grade inverters by SMA having its headquarters in Niestetal, Germany. The DC cables of Solar Grade/UV Resistant are from LAPP Germany compliant to international specifications and safety standards.

The complete 4.0 MW of Solar power is wheeled to Milky Mist factories under the group captive scheme through the captive Energy wheeling agreement. A 22kv dedicated transmission line of 6 km distance from the SPV plant to the 110/22kv Suriyampalayam substation is used to wheel the power.

Manufactured in compliance with international specifications and supplied by SWELECT (HHV ST brand of PV Modules), the solar PV modules (of 315 Wp) are triple IEC certified.

The entire SPV power plant Design and EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) on a turnkey basis were done by SWELECT Energy Systems, one of Chennai’s premier Solar Power Company.
